To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
~Ralph Waldo Emmerson
1.The awesome adrenaline that comes from strong contractions. Contractions definitely hurt like hell but there is an exhilaration about feeling your bodies process to push the baby out.
2.How much fun it is to sneeze after an episiotomy (extreme sarcasm)
3.How loved I feel by Joby as I watch him get completely stressed with concern for me with any discomfort I experience.
4. How good hospital food is (seriously I love it)and how nice it is to have a team of nurses attend to your every need for two days.
5. The sacred feeling of maternity wards. I find it difficult to check out of my hospital room. You experience such a sacred and beautiful memory in that room its hard to leave.
"The reason we are in the miserable mess we are in is because the states have--either wittingly or unwittingly--ceded their authority and independence to Washington, D.C. Therefore, it is now critical that states reclaim their authority--authority that is duly granted them under the US Constitution."
KNOW YOUR CONSTITUTION--
It is shocking and saddening to see the recent trends in our beloved country. Trends that are pushing us closer and more rapidly to socialism. We were once a light and example to other nations of prosperity strength unity and freedom but it seems our prestige continues to spiral embarrassingly downward. Our domestic economy contiues to crumble by unsound fiscal, economical and foreign aid policy which is why we are now witnessing the corruption of our national currency. Increasing power of Federal government is dramatically weakening state powers. And unconstitutional actions by all branches of Government and continued attempts to override constitutional restraints seems to be the new standard. It makes the future seem frightening. However, we need not fear because we have an institution we can put full faith in and that is the constitution. It is our weapon, our hope and defender of truth. Bring the truth to light…that’s our challenge today and everyday. Emmerson stated that "every mind must make a choice between truth and repose." Those who don’t know their history are doomed to repeat it and that is whats happening to America today.
