"I've Exhausted every resource except patience"

After downing a whole bottle of castor oil(which isn't so vile mixed with rootbeer. It almost tastes like rootbeer flavored with envelope glue.. mmmm) and going into 10 hours of labor,  which didn't result in the birth of Cru, I realized the only option I have left is patience. A virtue, I don't possess. I am a product of a family that has major difficulty containing excitement and typically make things happen when we want them to happen. We don't do waiting. Which is why we have Christmas on Christmas Eve. The thought of waiting for the right time is driving Joby and I insane! In an attempt to get my mind off of expelling a predicted 9 pound baby from my body, I stumbled upon Gwyneth Paltrow's website.(Goop.com) I truly did "stumble" upon it as most of you who know me also know I have always struggled with a strong disdain for celebrities. This is what also fuels my intense loath for movies and television. However, I was strangely impressed with Gwens site and even signed up for her newsletter which is surprisingly delightful. I thought celebrities were only capable of acting pompous, promiscuous,  and shoving their political views down Americas throats. Maybe all celebrities aren't the devil. Who knew?
"Make your life good. invest in what's real. Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you've never been to. Learn something new. Don't be lazy. Work out and stick with it. Make it great."-Gwyneth Paltrow

Okay....so you know when you have those days where the heavens shine down on you and you just happen to be in the right place at a delightfully right time. Today was one of those glorious days for Joby and I. We were stopped at a light at a super busy intersection. We looked across the street to find comic chaos unfolding. Two aggressive seniors were weaving down the street in their motorized chairs, in an almost figure eight like fashion. At first we thought they were out of control but when they cut off two SUVs and proudly took their place at the front of the line of cars we knew they were advanced motorized chair drivers. The following picture is a TRUE depiction of what we saw. No Joke! We laughed almost to the point of urination as did the whole intersection. It will be filed in our memory as one of the greatest visions ever witnessed. Our only regret is not pulling over to see them lead the pack of cars through the intersection.

CREATIVE ATTEMPT TO PUT ME IN LABOR #245
We have pretty much tried everything to get this kid out. If homemade 90's music video didn't work.....I'm confident in saying nothing will.

ODE TO SUMMER~
It's interesting how each new era in my life causes me to reflect on the past. Having only nine days until our lives change completely (for the better)  is igniting major nostalgia. Though it is fun to reflect, and I treasure those times and experiences, every era brings greater joy(Joby my greatest thus far) and I would only want to return in memory. Today, I went back to summertime 2001-03. The era of Summer and Julie leaving happy valley for Hollywood. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....but mostly the best of times. I love my flower girl!
